History
Background
Born in Taiwan to Russell & Celeste. First operating system was Windows ‘95.
First peer-to-peer exposure: µTorrent & game cracking (warez) + piracy forums (DMCA is absurd!).
Experience
Started his career at Perficient running migrations to Microsoft public cloud services (O365, D365, Azure). He quickly developed an interest in Microsoft Azure cloud and sought to become an architect.
After a few years, he left for Deloitte in search of greater impact and an opportunity to polish communication & strategy skills.
Exactly a year later, he found his way to Specialized Bikes. 😄

How Morgan starts his day
Morgan is a creature of habit. He generally wakes @ 06:00 PST with movement practice lasting for 00:30. Caffeination occurs between 07:00 and 07:30. Work begins immediately after caffeination. Morgan, like many other living creatures, requires daily time outside to practice physical health. This will require an asynchronous working pattern — this does not hurt his work output, instead enhances it.
How Morgan views success
He views success in simple terms:
- Co-workers trust in my ability to accomplish work and make decisions. When Morgan has uncertainties, he reaches out as early as possible to avoid festering.
- His up-to-date, multidisciplinary skill-set that minimizes time-to-contribution.
- Sustainable and continuous improvement — think Kaizen applied to life.
How Morgan communicates
Morgan has a natural affinity in identifying risks + taking on responsibilities. He will ask hard questions that lead to thoughtful discussion and strategy.
Morgan is clear both in writing and speaking. His work requires excellence in both and he continues to hone both skills.
